Women’s History Month: Inspiring Women to Explore with Your Family

March is Women’s History Month, and it is the perfect time to highlight the women who shaped our world through courage, determination, and groundbreaking achievements. To celebrate, we’ve created a new page on DuckAbroad that brings together the people, places, and historic moments that continue to inspire generations.
From Harriet Tubman leading enslaved people to freedom through the Underground Railroad to Amelia Earhart pushing the boundaries of what was possible in the sky, history is filled with women who changed the course of the world through bravery and vision. Many fought against the expectations of their time, refused to accept limits, and opened doors for future generations.
This new page honors those women, along with countless others who challenged the words “no,” “you can’t,” and “that’s the way it is.” Their stories remind families and young travelers that persistence, strength, and curiosity can shape history.
Explore the new Women’s History page and download the DuckAbroad Travel app to discover these inspiring people and the places connected to their stories as you explore the world together.
