The Battle of Gettysburg: Did You Know?
Chris Wills
The Gettysburg battlefield is now included in the Duckwyn Travel Passport. The museum and battlefield are a fun learning experience for all ages. You can explore the area on your own or you can book a guide to travel with you to give you a detailed history of the battle over its 3 day span. We booked a 3 hour tour and it was worth it. Our guide did a great job of keeping our 13 and 15 year old kids engaged as he recreated the decisive battle of the Civil War. If you go during the summer, bring plenty of water and some snacks. We visited in August and the temperatures were hovering around 100 degrees.
