This remote national park on Lake Superior protects the island of Isle Royale and the more than 400 small islands nearby. Isle Royale is the fourth-largest lake island in the world. Manitoulin Island in Lake Superior, Canada is the largest. Isle Royale was given to the United States through a treaty with Great Britain in 1783.
